TU Eindhoven’s new Data Science MOOC, Introduction to Process Mining with ProM, starts on 10 July.

The EDSA-endorsed MOOC, Introduction to Process Mining with ProM, is now open for registration on FutureLearn. Led by Joos Buijs, assistant professor at the Data Science Center, Eindhoven University of Technology, this free online course will give you an overview of a new and exciting analysis method used by business, government and institutions around the world to analyse, visualise, and improve processes based on data.

Process mining combines business process management with data science, and this MOOC provides a great opportunity to get the lowdown on the free, open source, process mining framework (ProM). Using process mining, you can analyse and visualise business processes based on event data records. For example, you could analyse how people use public transportation; verify whether a loan application is processed correctly by a bank; or predict when hardware parts are likely to fail.
