As we emerge into the age of the web of data, data skills aren’t just a ‘nice to have’, but are necessary for any modern organisation. But being data skilled isn’t simply about being a spreadsheet wizard. It’s about understanding how and when data is useful, and using a mixture of strategic and practical skills to realise your vision.

To celebrate the ODI’s fourth annual summit, we’re hosting a day of short, interactive workshops beforehand to boost your confidence in using and talking about data.

The day will be a smorgasbord of technical and strategic training, as well as more advanced sessions for data pioneers and exploratory data games for beginners, themed around the ODI’s Open Data Skills Framework.

The first 200 places booked will receive seats to see Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt introduce the Summit in the BFI’s main theatre. Other guests will be watching from the second theatre on a live feed.
